Farmers can help change America's food system--but they can't do it alone

In the United States, more than one-third of all available food goes uneaten due to pre-harvest loss and post-harvest waste, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. That's enough to feed the world's 870 million undernourished people four times over.
