Peach Pudding

What You'll Need

  • 8” baking dish
  • 1 c flour
  • ½ c sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ c milk
  • 3 c sliced (peeled) peaches
  • ice cream (optional)

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ c water
  • ½ c sugar
  • ½ c brown sugar
  • 1 TBL butter
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg​

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F
  2. Combine 1 c flour, ½ c sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp cinnamon
  3. Stir in ½ c milk
  4. Fold in 3 c sliced (peeled) peaches
  5. Spread onto a greased 8” baking dish
  6. For the topping: combine 1 ½ c water, ½ c sugar, ½ c brown sugar, 1 TBL butter, and ¼ tsp nutmeg
  7. Bring to a boil in a saucepan until the sugars are dissolved
  8. Pour over the bottom peach mixture
  9. Bake until the filling is bubbly about 40-50 minutes
  10. Serve with ice cream!
