    Q: Is your milk homogenized?

A: 'Hi there. Yes it is. The chefs and baristas that use our products prefer it this way for the consistency. Thanks for asking! '

Q: Do you have Jersey whole milk?

A: 'No. We have had purebred Holsteins on our farm since 1910!'

Q: We are so so so so sad your egg nog is seasonal! lol! Well my mom will be anyway, when she finds it is no longer able to be ordered! I told her she better get her fill and she did, as well as with the last 6 ordered! Better than Oberweis! Excellent milk products!

A: 'R.C. -- Thank you so much for your kind words. And sorry for our belated reply. We are big fans of Oberweis so your comparison means a ton! We're already working on new offering for next holiday season! '

    Q: Is it pasteurized?

A: 'Yes it is. We’re required to pasteurize in Illinois. Low temp though. '

Q: Is this milk Raw? Or fully pasteurized? Are hormones used and antibiotics with the Cows, you raise? Are they grain feed or are they pastured?

A: 'Hi D.K. I’m sorry I missed your question. The milk is fully pasteurized as required by state of Illinois and FDA. No hormones are used. We use medicine on our animals when they are sick and at no other time. We want them to live a long healthy lives so many of the same medicines we rely on are good for the animals. When they are on medicine, their milk is not put into the supply. We only have two animals in the entire heard on medicine at this time. And dairy, they have a blend of past year, forages like alfalfa hay and some corn silage and soy protein. Thanks for your question and again very sorry for the delayed response.'

format_quoteI always buy this milk unless I run out between the ordering deadline. It tastes great,. but what impresses me most, as both a customer and a professional food writer / journalist is how the registered holsteins are raised, that the milk is low temperature pasteurized, which has the benefits of pasteurization withour damaging flavor and without destroying the healthy bacteria that we as humans need to help our digestive tracts. So from my perspective, this milk, from this wonderful local dairy, has the best of both worlds.format_quote
