Baked goods and baking mixes that are sugar-free (with some sugar-added options and savory items made by my Chef daughter, as noted). 🥧 SWEETENERS I use a number of different sweeteners in my baked goods, including: agave nectar, erythritol, stevia, monkfruit, Whey Low and sucralose; this is because all sweeteners cook and bake differently and certain sweeteners are best suited for certain pastries and desserts. I will also sometimes mix sweeteners to get the desired results. If a customer has a preference for a certain sugar substitute, I can try to work with that. ♥️ ABOUT ME I am the author of the cookbook, The Diabetic Pastry Chef, and I regularly teach others how to cook and bake sugar-free desserts via my cookbook, website and online Zoom parties. I’ve also held demonstrations on KDKA’s Pittsburgh Today Live and The Lynne Hayes-Freeland Show and my recipes have been featured in local newspapers. My recipes have also been featured in nationwide magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens, Diabetic Living and the American Diabetes Association’s magazine, Diabetes Forecast. ❤️ ABOUT MY DAUGHTER Tara has taught original and corporate cooking classes at Williams-Sonoma in the Mt. Lebanon Galleria as their Chef & Culinary Expert. She has also worked as a Corporate Caterer for La Prima Food Group in the Washington, D.C. Metro area and has lived and worked in Italy. She is a very passionate, multiethnic culinarian.
