About

Eddie Mackay and Rick Milliman of Dundonald Highlands raise 100% grass-fed burger. It's GMO-Free, hormone free, and never fed antibiotics. They use Highland cattle (the world's oldest cattle breed) because it produces some of the most delicious beef in the world, and "the proof is in the pudding": their beef is award-winning.

Mackay began farming during World War II in Scotland. He immigrated to the United States, working on a family farm in The Catskills. After an illustrious career with a New York City-based engineering firm, he returned to his roots, buying a farm in Three Rivers, MI. He uses the Highland cattle breed native to his homeland.

Though Highland cattle takes longer to raise than other beef breeds, the extended time on pasture helps produce a better-tasting beef. The superior flavor also comes from the genetics of the Highland breed. At least some of Mackay's herd came from stock brought over from Scotland itself.
