R & K Golden Acres is a small, single family farm located in Wellington, Ohio. My husband and I, along with our young children run the farm entirely on our own. Our kiddos are chicken-obsessed and love to help out every day with our chores and especially with hand feeding our chickens some yummy treats.
We strive to produce home grown food for our own family that is raised or grown properly without any antibiotics, added growth hormones, or any other additive. While raising and producing livestock and produce that can feed our own family, we decided to expand slightly in order to produce enough to supply other local families with the same home grown product that we know and love - but without having to do it yourself!
We raise small batches of chicken so that we can focus on each bird to ensure the best health, nutrition, and overall care for them. Chicken is raised throughout the warmer months of each year when we know that we have the ability to raise them on pasture without having to deal with the struggles of keeping our birds comfortable during those cold Ohio winters. Eggs are produced year round.
We offer premium cuts of pasture raised chicken. We also offer pasture raised farm fresh eggs (these girls are VERY spoiled). We pride ourselves on providing delicious chicken and eggs to others that we know has been raised and cared for exactly as a chicken should be.
