Joe Murello cook and operator of Giuseppe’s Italian Market was born and raised in downtown Indianapolis, in the former Italian enclave of Indy. Raised around the produce merchants of the near southside, Joe developed his eclectic style of Italian cooking from the neighborhood. When asked if he cooks Northern or Southern style, the answer is Italian. The style is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Since over 85 percent of Italians in the US are from Southern Italy, Giuseppe’s food leans more to the Southern Cuisine.
Giuseppe’s is known to be the home of Central Indiana’s favorite lasagna, meatballs and unique marinara sauce. Giuseppe’s also does custom Peppermint Ice Cream for the Christmas Holidays and upon request the famous, but rare, Tortoni Ice Cream.
Giuseppe’s is excited to distribute precooked frozen, ready to serve Italian food, as a vendor On Market Wagon - the online farmers market, and both the Carmel Summer, Winter Markets, Fishers Summer Farmers Market and the White River State Park Farmers Market.
