Greetings! This is Rich from Juniper Farms. Our son recently graduated from IU in Classical Music Composition, but he told us that he would like to start a Christmas Tree Farm. We thought, what a fun adventure, so we purchased 32 acres of weedy farmland in Cicero, Indiana.
On the farm our objective is to operate profitable businesses and help as many people and animals as possible.
The Christmas trees take 7 years to grow, so we needed to figure out how to generate revenue faster than that. We decided to grow salad greens, tomatoes, and microgreens.
What is a microgreen? Microgreens are baby vegetables, packed with nutrients, incredibly healthy for you, and tasty too! Scientific studies show that microgreens contain 4 to 40 times the nutritional value of adult vegetables! They are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
You can enjoy microgreens on a salad, sandwich, eggs, pasta, or simply eat them plain as an incredibly nutritious snack.
