Located in Atlanta, IL, Wertheim’s Gardens is the only Certified IL Herb Garden in Logan County and encompasses educational, culinary and medicinal herb gardens, along with cut flowers and seasonal Heirloom vegetables. Visitors to Wertheim’s Gardens have a multitude of options from taking a scheduled tour of the various gardens; participating in a hands-on class to learn how to make your own salves, soaps, teas or lotions; or learning how to use herbs in your everyday cooking, fresh or dried.
We are pleased to be able to offer to the Market Wagon customers dried and fresh herb bundles, herbal products (teas, salves, lotion bars, etc.) as well as floral bundles or arrangements & a limited selection of our Heirloom vegetables.
Owned and operated by Amy Wertheim, AIG’s 2018 Businesswoman of the Year as the Most Trusted Woman in Herbal Products, as well as serving on the IL Specialty Crops Board of Directors, President of the IL Herb Association, and past President of the Logan County Herb Guild, Amy is a proud 6th generation steward of the land. As a four-time Grand Champion of the IL State Herb competition, she is well-versed in all aspects of Herbs and enjoys sharing her knowledge with anyone interested in growing their knowledge in Herbs.
