About
Golden Egg Farms is a family owned and operated quail and microgreen farm that focuses on waste reduction and humane treatment of our meat birds. Animals are raised indoors, in a temperature controlled environment-safe from pests and the elements. They are fed a high quality feed and supplemented with greens that are unsold that would otherwise go to waste.
Our microgreens are also grown year-round indoors. All seed is non-gmo and grown organically- either hydroponically, or with OMRI (organic certified) coconut coir substrate.
We use no pesticides or harmful chemical fertilizers. All fertilizers used are organic and safe for consumption and sustainably sourced (like seaweed based nutrient fertilizers, for example)
All greens are cut the day before delivery and packaged immediately.
Golden Egg To-Go is the portion of our business that specializes in prepared foods that are delicious and focused on making life easier for our customers. We are growing our food offerings for both pre-cooked and "take and bake" options. We will be bringing in nutritional information shortly, and putting more focus onto specialty diet needs like- high protein, gluten free, vegetarian, low carb, and low calorie. We anticipate these extended dietary options to be added to our offerings list by summer 2021.
