Our roots began as far back as ancestors from Cornwall, England. Growing up in South Africa we grew up eating “all things English”!! from the Cornish Pasty from Cornwall to the English Sausage Roll and many varieties of Meat Pies.
We started our business in 2011 beginning with the Cornish Pasty and English Sausage roll and eventually branching out into some 14 Varieties including the “YOOPER” which was made famous in the UPPER PENINSULA and has the much loved ingredient ‘RUTABAGO”/ When we first began making pastys we also made “meat pies” but because Michiganders are not familiar with Meat Pastys we turned all our unusual flavors into PASTYS! Our pastys were popular at the local farmers markets and what began with 1 farmers market increased to 3 and now we do some 14 farmers markets per week. We pay tribute to our local customers and our market managers who gave us support all the way. We are also proud to be “uniquely Michigan’ as our pastys use lots of local farm vegetables and our flour is sourced from our local mill in August and is UNENRICHED AND UNBLEACHED. We add no preservatives and keep our product as natural as possible. Our goal at the farmers market is to being you a excellent product at a reasonable price and as “fresh” as today! We are a member of the Michigan Farmers market Association and take part in the annual Summer Markets on the State Capitol Lawns (July, August & September) We also do "pre-order online" for pick up at our location, All pastys sold online are individually packed and are unbaked and frozen for you to bake at home. We only do pre-baked at our farmers markets.
