About
We started our farm as a way to prove that it is still possible to provide healthy, nutrient dense foods to local consumers while supporting our family. We have begun our farm with a few animals and perennials. The first animals to join the farm were the gateway animal- chickens. Our egg layers are free to roam around our farm as they see fit. They are encouraged to scrape and peck to find their food, but are also supplemented with a high quality, freshly milled, organic feed. We then decided that the next animal that deserved to live as they see fit would be pigs. Our pigs are raised in the forest and are rotated to fresh ground weekly to provide ample forage while allowing them to root and live out their "pigness". As pigs are not able to sustain on just forage alone, we supplement them with a high quality, freshly milled, Non-GMO feed. We work daily to ensure the health and safety of these animals as well as ensuring they will provide health to our local community.
