About
Idlewind Acres is a small, family farm located in Lowell, MI. We practice what we have termed "Fully Integrated Farming," which draws upon multiple well-established methods of growing and decision-making, including permaculture, regenerative farming, agroforestry, and whole farming, and combine those with dedication to our community. We are growing healthy fruits and veggies and raising Berkshire pork, Suffolk / Katahdin lamb (coming soon!), Boer goat (coming soon!), and Red Poll cattle (coming soon!). All of our produce is hand-picked and examined prior to being packed. As a low profit enterprise, we work to increase accessibility to healthy food by working with local non-profit and low-profit grocers, selling our produce at significantly reduced pricing for sale to low income individuals in food desert areas.
