About
We started Mendenhall Farm in 2008 after buying our first 4 acres. We wanted grass fed beef, and it is important to us to know where our food is coming from. In researching breeds, we wanted a smaller stature heritage breed that were easy keepers. We chose Dexters and bought our first two in 2008. Today we have a herd of 90 animals. Our animals are all grass fed and finished. In the summer they are rotationally grazed and in the winter they are fed grass hay. They are never fed grain. We check on our animals daily and are hands on with them.
