Knife & Fork Farm is a small farm in the beautiful Forklands area of Kentucky that is focused on producing high quality food for people who care about what they eat, how it is produced, and the impact on the world which we all share. Our farm uses natural methods and seeks out inventive solutions that have a positive impact on our local ecosystems and promote biodiversity. Currently we raise heritage breed Large Black Hogs in Savannah Pastures and are finished in our hardwood forest where these happy hogs can feast on acorns, hickory nuts, black walnuts and all the goodies the Forkland forest provides. These hogs grow slower providing tender well marbled meat, and clean tasting fat. We utilize the hog from snout to tail. Love to work with customers that are less familiar with the harder to find cuts to maximize these often overlooked parts. We free range American Bresse Chickens and American Bresse Crossed with ISA Brown. We currently market these great tasting eggs. We have a small no till garden. Our farm also produces value added products and baked goods. We don't use chemical pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics or hormones. The supplemental feed we provide livestock is Non GMO feed, local pumpkins, local produce, local apples, and spent grains from the local bourbon distillers and brewers. We work with local USDA inspected meat processors to maximize the entire hog. Our animals are treated humanely and allowed to live a low stress natural life from birth to processing. We look forward to sharing these wonderful products with others that are as passionate as us about Great Tasting High Quality Food and how it is produced.
